There are so many incredible things going on in the Detroit area, so I focused on the greener options that are family friendly.

Evolution & Health at U of M Museum of Natural History
learn about how evolution enabled us to survive and was affected by health


Westview Orchards Fall Fun
family fun with a cider mill, huge corn maze, petting farm, straw mountain 

Fall Fun Wilson Barn Pumpkin Festival 
Cider, doughnuts, crafts, pony rides and haunted barn October 2-18

International Festival at the Southfield Pavillion
Learn about the culture of other people around the world.  Activities for kids, food and music.
Friday 12-5, Saturday 11-7, Sunday 11-6 $5/family

Dlectricity Arts Festival in Midtown Detroit {not so eco, but it looks SO COOL}
Enjoy Shadow puppets, make and take activities for kids, a light parade and 30 light and video installations through out Midtown. 
Friday 7-12pm Saturday 5pm-2am FREE

Hayrides at Heritage Park in Farmington Hills
Celebrate the fall with a hayride, roasted marshmallows, and apple cider
5:30-7:30pm $5-Register

Fall Festival at the Detroit Zoo
Special Fall themed activities at the zoo including hayrides, arts and crafts, straw maze, face painting, inflatable slide and more.
