How to make healthy non fried , french fries recipe
french 'fries'

Potatoes got a really bad rap lately, but they are healthy to eat when prepared properly. It is a veggie, has no fat, contains dietary fiber, is rich in vitamin C, and is a good source of both potassium and vitamin B6.  I stayed away from white potatoes for years and recently fell in love with them again! We even grew them in our garden this year.  They were so delicious and creamy from the garden and nothing like the ones from the store.  I highly recommend that you try it in your garden in the summer. As you can see in the picture, they look so sinful and fried, but your family will never know the difference.  They have a crispy outside (thanks to the broiler) and a soft inside.

What you need
Metal Pan
6 Medium Potatoes
2 Tbsp Olive Oil
1Tbsp garlic Powder
2 Tbsp Mrs. Dash Herbs & Onion Mix
1/4 tsp Tumeric
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 pinches of salt
plastic tub

Cut the potatoes lengthwise in 1/8 size slices.  Put them in the plastic tub and cover with the rest of the ingredients.  I like to use turmeric because it has great anti inflammatory properties as well as it gives the 'fries' a yellow color like they were made in a fryer.

Close the lid and shake so that they are all covered with spices and oil.

Place the potatoes on your pan so that they are spread out.  (I added some onions that I put in with my main dish) Put in the oven on broil at 550 for 15 minutes.  You should start to see a change in the color. Continue to cook at 350 for 20 more minutes or until soft on the inside.

Eat and enjoy!
